Packing List

Your new home at Parkview should feel familiar and comfortable. While we provide many of the essentials, here are some important things to bring:

  • Clothing: Comfortable everyday wear, pajamas, a light jacket, and shoes 

  • Personal Items: Toiletries, skincare, and any daily necessities

  • Familiar Comforts: Photos, favorite decorations, or a treasured quilt

  • Entertainment: Books, puzzles, or a hobby you enjoy

  • Technology: Phone, tablet, or a small TV for personal use

We encourage residents to bring items that make their space feel like home while keeping things manageable and organized. 

What to Expect on Move-In Day

Moving day at Parkview is a time for new beginnings. here's what you can expect: 

 

  • Finalizing Paperwork: A few last details will be completed to ensure a smooth transition.

  • Getting Settled In: You'll move into your new room and arrange it just the way you like.

  • Warm Welcomes: Our staff will stop by to introduce themselves, get ot know you, and answer any questions. 

  • Joining the Community: You'll be invited to meals and activities, offering a chance to meet fellow residents and start feeling at home right away.

Our team is here to support you every step of the way, ensuring that move-in day is a positive and welcoming experience. 

The Weeks Following Move-In

Adjusting to a new home takes time, but at Parkview, we're dedicated to making this transition as comfortable as possible. in the first few weeks, you can expect: 

 

  • Friendly Check-Ins: Our team will regularly check in to make sure you're settling in well. 

  • Opportunities to Connect: We'll introduce you to other residents and invite you to community activities.  

  • A Supportive Routine: You'll become familiar with daily meals, activites, and available care services.
